Bowling Green, Ky (February 16, 2023) – The American Marketing Association (AMA) recently announced the top 10 finalists for its Ric Sweeney Volunteer of the Year Award. Included in the finalists from all over the country is our local chapter’s VP of Marketing, Magen Siegrist. Farmers Bank and Trust’s Marketing & Communications Officer, Siegrist has sincere passion for her career and community.
“It’s an honor to be nominated for this award. Making it to the top 10 in the nation is a total shock. I’m proud to be surrounded by such an incredible group of marketers in our local chapter and appreciate their support,” Siegrist said. “I love my Bowling Green so much and so many in our community have led by example, showing me how to give back in the most meaningful and impactful ways.”
For the past 17 years, AMA has awarded an individual from its professional chapter leadership whose contributions have added significantly to AMA’s goals while making a lasting local community impact. Any member serving on a local chapter’s Board of Directors is eligible. The individual named Volunteer of the Year receives an honorary lifetime AMA membership.
In 2022, the Professional Marketing Association of Bowling Green transitioned to an all-new Bowling Green chapter of AMA. Magen serves as its VP of Marketing, and was selected as last year’s chapter Marketer of the Year. She continues to serve Bowling Green and South Central Kentucky through her community service, currently as Secretary of the Board of Directors for Stuff the Bus Foundation, Advocacy Committee Member for the Center for Courageous Kids, and serves on various committees for United Way of Southern Kentucky, Women’s Fund of South Central Kentucky, CASA of South Central Kentucky, the BG Area Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership BG Media & Arts Day, and many others.
We are the only AMA professional chapter in Kentucky, and this honor represents not just Bowling Green, but all Kentuckians! We believe in the positive power of community service in our Commonwealth.
AMA strives to be a voice that shapes marketing around the world, the hub of an essential community for marketers. With more than 70 chapters across the country, the AMA BG chapter is proud to have Siegrist represent us and our community alongside the others listed below:
