PMA members had the opportunity to host WKU students for a Groundhog Job Shadow event last month. Several students took the time to learn more about the day-to-day experience in their fields of study. Students from marketing, public relations, hospitality, tourism, journalism and more got the chance to find out more about their futures. Some of our PMA members shared their experiences on social media:
Brandon Miles from WBKO TV and LocalX Marketing hosted student Brandon Mollyhorn for a tour of the TV station.
Jamie Johnson, Executive Director of the Historic RailPark & Train Museum, hosted Maddie, who learned more about non-profit marketing opportunities on a budget.
Telia Butler, Director of Sales at Courtyard Marriott BG, hosted Emma Spainhoward, a student in public relations and advertising, with a minor focus in hospitality management.
