Tuesday, July 21st speaker Phil Eason has served in leadership positions for over thirty-five years – including teacher, head football coach and high school principal. He also served as superintendent of the Ashland Independent School District and now as President of PLG Leadership.

PLG Leadership is a consulting firm which uses a strength-based approach to growth and development of individuals, leaders, managers and teams. He is a certified Gallup Strengths Coach and has served on the Baldrige Board of Examiners.

He received his undergraduate degree from Western Kentucky University where he graduated cum laude. He has developed and led various workshops, training, key note addresses in the area of leadership, management and use of a strengths-based approach to growth and development. He has coached and mentored a number of leaders to be strength-based, engagement focused and performance oriented.

Phil is a strategic thinker with the ability to entertain ideas about the best ways to reach a goal, increase productivity or solve a problem while thinking of alternatives – then choosing the best option. He is an effective communicator that has the ability to put his thoughts into words in an informative, interesting and entertaining manner. He brings a positive atmosphere regardless the setting.

Phil is married to Pamela Hutton and has a son, Jack. Phil is an avid runner who enjoys training and running in races from 5K’s to marathons, including the Boston Marathon. He is also a licensed pilot who loves both flying and talking about flying.
