Citizens First Corporation started in Warren County in 1975 as an investment club. Through the completion of a public offering of its common stock in February 1999, the company became a registered bank holding company, Citizens First Bank, Inc., a de novo commercial bank chartered under the banking laws of the State of Kentucky. The bank began operations in February 1999 at its branch location on Campbell Lane. Along with its Administration headquarters in Bowling Green, the bank currently operates eight branches in Warren, Simpson, Barren and Hart counties, and operates a loan production office in Franklin, Tennessee. Citizens First is proud to be Bowling Green’s only local bank and is celebrating its 20th Birthday this month.
Citizens First provides quality financial services to people, businesses and organizations while developing lasting partnerships with their clients through responsive, flexible and distinguished personal service. The bank focuses on meeting the needs of their clients and solving their unique banking challenges on-site, with personalized service customized to each situation. They value families and community businesses and are proudly growing to meet their expanding needs. As Citizens First works hard to exceed client expectations and expand their service offerings, they will always focus on the vitality of this region and the people and businesses they serve. Their clients are their greatest asset, and Citizens First looks forward to remaining a trusted member of this community for many years to come.
PMA would like to thank Citizens First Bank for continuing to be active within this organization and its continued sponsorship of meetings. PMA appreciates the community-driven nature of its members. Listen to the Citizens First Bank presentation at the February 19, 2019 Membership Drive.
